Location of the Modern Pueblos Showing the Languages Spoken at Each Pueblo
The Hopi language is part of the Uto-Aztecan language family, the largest indigenous language family in North America, with over 30 distinct-but-related languages. Zuni is a language isolate spoken only at Zuni; Keres is also a language isolate, but it is spoken at multiple villages. The last group of Pueblo languages are part of the Kiowa-Tanoan language family, and this includes Towa, Tewa, and Tiwa, which has spilt into northern Tiwa and southern Tiwa.
